At Rowse, we take our commitment to sustainability seriously. For over 15 years, we have been dedicated to finding innovative ways to reduce our environmental impact, especially when it comes to our packaging. We are proud to say that our honey packaging is not only recyclable but also made from recycled materials.
Our glass jars, which house a core selection of our delicious Rowse honey (including our Manuka range), contain a whopping 50% recycled glass. By incorporating recycled glass into our packaging, we are able to significantly reduce the need for virgin glass production, thereby saving valuable resources.
But that's not all. All our plastic bottles are made with 30% recycled plastic. This decision alone has resulted in the removal of a staggering 135 tonnes of virgin plastic from the production cycle every year.
By utilising recycled materials in our packaging, we are able to contribute to a circular economy, where resources are reused and recycled instead of being discarded. This not only reduces waste but also helps to conserve energy and mitigate the overall carbon footprint of our products.
We believe that it is our responsibility as a company to make sustainable choices, and using recycled materials in our packaging is just one way we do that. So the next time you enjoy a jar of our delicious honey or purchase one of our plastic bottles, know that you are making an eco-conscious choice to support a company that cares about the environment.
